We operate three fully redundant HD/SD KU digital satellite uplink trucks. All trucks are MPEG-4/2 capable. Trucks can be equipped for dual or triple path HD transmission with no polarity restrictions. Communication requirements are fully met with a multi-station IFB/PL system including cellular or landline based telephone interface.

First Call Uplinks started in 1989 in Youngstown, OH. It transformed from solely being a full-service production company to an operation that provides remote satellite uplinks and crew for breaking news, sports, major events, and corporate production. In 2018, The Videohouse Inc., headquarted in Pittsburgh, PA., acquired all assets of First Call and it now operates under the leadership of Ron Bruno.

Our clients include ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, FOX News, and Raycom. We serve Ohio, Western NY, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Michigan, West Virginia, Illinois, and Kentucky.
