My name is Dan LaPlaca and I am currently working as a Video Producer for IEEE in New Jersey. My duties include managing multiple video projects while insuring that we stay within budget, delivering video segments to our websites, administering the Facebook page for IEEEtv, and directing the shooting and editing of live conferences. Besides my video editing and project management skills, I am very strong with solid experience in audio design and editing and web design/development. My experience here comes from working at a major advertising agency with many blue-chip client companies such as Nike, Purina, Verizon and others. I have also taken on many freelance digital media projects which include mixing audio, composing original music for DVD, TV/film and podcast, editing video for documentaries, commercials and podcast, authoring DVD’s using DVD Studio Pro, After FX and Motion, and programming websites.
I have solid project management and technical skills as well as experience in broadcasting environments. My digital audio and video production skills with programs such as Pro Tools and Final Cut Pro as well as my web skills with programs such as Flash AS2, ASP, HTML, CSS, Wordpress, PhotoShop, Illustrator and others, are excellent. Also, I am very familiar with all the social media outlets and maintain and create many different types of accounts.
