ENLIGHTENED ENTERTAINMENT
Michael J Lasky is the third generation from two entertainment families and officially entered the motion picture industry in the 1980’s as a writer, producer with the foresight to option the movie rights to Frank Abagnale’s all telling book, “Catch Me If You Can”. MJ partnered with Hall Bartlett Films for eleven years and developed twelve film projects for such stars as Marlon Brando, Sophia Loren, Priscilla Presley and Anthony Quinn. MJ was an Executive for Hall Bartlett Films ( a slate of 17 films which earned 12 Oscar nominations) and managed The Jonathan Livingston Seagull Company. “Jonathan” originally won 32 awards including the Grammy for Best Motion Score by Neil Diamond, two Oscar nominations and the Best Picture Award from the Association of Christians and Jews. MJ is a producer, writer and (former) signatory of the Writer's Guild of America, West. As a screenwriter, his former nom de plume was (aka, MJ Du Dek)
