A passion for lighting and attention to technical detail are enduring passions of mine! With experience in working with many types of consoles, and delivering lighting even when there was no lighting plot, I am confident that my skills will be an asset to your company. I am currently working towards my 800 hour requirement to qualify for the Live Performance Electrical Certificate (LPEC) which will allow me to help with lighting design.
Examples of my ability to problem solve on-the-fly include:
As Production Assistant for Shaw television: took over the editing after two days of observation and no prior experience and became the most popular segment editor for a live sports talk show, with people calling to book specifically with me.
As Lighting Programmer for the Chilliwack Players Guild: created a lighting plot with detailed notes on each light’s address and channel in order for the Lighting Operator to function independently.
As Volunteer Follow Spot Operator with Gallery 7 Theatre: researched and downloaded a patch for their console which corrected the fault in the software.
As I.T. Troubleshooter for Who’s Calling North: researched solutions to computer issues, diagnosed the problem and implemented a solution.
In addition I am very confident that my reliability and interpersonal skills, along with my self-motivation, will be an asset to your company. I look forward to discussing opportunities with you and may be reached by phone at 604.828.2261 or by e-mail at c.mclean@wwdb.org.
I have been in the industry since 2009.
