The whimsical and curious son of an agrarian journalist turned fisher of men and a homemaker furrier turned psychological clinician and researcher, Jonny Meyer is a Director of both photographic moving and still images for broadcast, screen, and print.

As a Director of Photography, he has developed through 20 years of work as a professional grip, electrician and gaffer, camera assistant, FAA licensed drone pilot, and camera operator in the professional film industries of Ohio, Arkansas, and the Mid Atlantic and Northeast.

He proudly began his career as a member of IATSE local 209 and subsequently joined The International Cinematographers Guild where he remains an active member for over 10 years. Much of his career has been punctuated by work as a published commercial and editorial print photographer.

Currently a resident of Maryland, Jonny also works in Cleveland, Washington DC, Baltimore, Richmond, Chicago, and New York City. He is self-represented and would love to help you create your next visual storytelling adventure.

In his free time he enjoys playing chess and making friends with your dog.

He prefers to spend time outdoors in the wilds of the world, or cooking you an incredible meal wherever and with whatever is on hand.
