David Chaytor is a freelance DP, cameraman, and video editor working in the Washington, DC area with more than 20 years experience in video and television production. As a freelancer his clients include ABC News, Aljazeera English, APTN CBS News, Bloomberg News, and Fox News, and he has worked for Canal Plus, BFM TV, NBC Newschannel, and CNBC. David previously worked as a staff photojournalist at the ABC and CBS affiliate stations in Washington, DC, and has been director of photography on a number of corporate productions. International experience includes shooting documentaries for the United Nations FAO in Sierra Leone, and for a Caribbean Production company in Curaçao. He has a Master of Arts degree in Communication from Northern Illinois University. David is a Sony FX9 and Sony FX6 owner/operator and uses (and has used) a variety of camera formats, including P2HD and XDCam HD. He has vast experience in Avid Media Composer and Final Cut Pro non-linear editing formats. Memberships include NABET, IBEW and NPPA.
