My name is Aram Constantin; cinematographer, camera operator, camera assistant and utility grip, active in the industry since 2012. Proficient in the application of creative technology in visual storytelling and communications, I bring a comprehensive understanding of the digital media, film and video production process from concept to final cut - with a focus on cinematography, lighting, video editing, and technical production support. I bring working knowledge of pre-production, production and post-production workflows plus hands-on experience with DSLR and cinema cameras, lenses, lighting, sound, grip & electric gear.
I have worked under DPs, Gaffers and Producers on location sets and in studios for years; hands-on work with all sorts of film, video and photography gear. Much of my past experience has been as camera operator, camera assistant or other support roles; feature films, documentaries, corporate productions, from big budget reality TV shows to indie short films. With a camera in my hands as Cinematographer and Creative Producer, I can create content in a variety of visual styles be it corporate, cinematic or artistic. I have a passion for harnessing light and creating beautiful images with a strategic purpose. I specialize in capturing unscripted content in fast paced, uncontrolled situations where moments cannot be missed, friendly to an editor with a functional sense of coverage and composition. I do have experience working in scripted situations as well; experienced in setting up layered lighting and recording sound. Although I prefer working behind the camera, I do have experience directing content while designing creative strategy and technical needs. I am no stranger to micromanaging all phases of pre-production, production and post-production; curating creative technology solutions, managing crews & talent, acquiring assets and utilizing resources efficiently.
