I am a recent graduate of San Francisco State University and am searching for an entry level opportunity. Based on my skills in research for media and experience in content production I am confident that I would be a great addition to your team. My resume is also rounded out by a strong background in retail sales and customer service.

During my tenure at San Francisco State University, I gained and enhanced organizational skills as President of College Students in Broadcasting, a student organization with over 75 members. In this position, I collected dues, balanced budgets, and organized major events, including the Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts Department Graduation Commencement Ceremony for 2011 and 2012. Also, during my academic career I learned both how to research and produce for television. I worked in both above the line and below the line capacities for San Francisco State University’s locally broadcast shows, Under SF and State of Events. In addition to this I also produced short scripted television spots for a university dance performance and a speculation ad campaign for Goodwill. In my producing capacity, I scheduled lunches and shoots, conducted pre interviews, and drafted talent and location release forms. These skills were sharpened in my internships at Hasbro Studios’ Unscripted Department and CBS KPIX’s Eye on the Bay. At Hasbro I conducted research for program development, while at Eye on the Bay, I conducted research for new show stories while maintaining order in the office. At both, I presented and pitched my research to the producing team. This bolstered my confidence and ability to sift through information.

In addition to this, while at Hasbro I experienced live studio production during the taping of Family Game Night. I helped with both Standards and Practices and scorekeeping. This improved my ability to work under pressure and process multiple situations at once. I took this experience and used it to better my problem solving skills. I believe this experience greatly enhanced my own ability to produce content and analyze content, as well as understand how important each position is to a production.

I also have extensive experience in customer service due to my time in retail. My time at Nordstrom truly taught me what customer service was and improved my ability to work with strong personalities. I feel that I have all the skills needed to become a great member of your team and contribute to your projects’ success. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
