Master’s degree in Screenwriting from the American Film Institute. I have experience writing live action and animated shorts and features, one of which was developed at the Sundance Screenwriters Lab. My passion and my goal is to tell entertaining stories that explore our human condition and are both relevant and universal yet told from a unique perspective. My focus is on character driven pieces and small independent stories but I embrace all genres. I can write original screenplays or edit and revise your current draft. As a story consultant, I provide comprehensive notes on story structure, characterization, plot, theme, subtext and other story elements that will enable you to get to the heart of your story. What’s driving your characters? What’s driving the story? Who is your audience? What is your budget? Is this a spec script or a commissioned work that would benefit from a fresh perspective before showing it to your producer? Or an investor. I worked on a project with an award-winning writer-director and editor on an unscripted documentary film that hit a bump in the road in post-production. While it is advisable to hire a story consultant in pre-production in order to avoid this, it is common. By providing detailed notes and an A/V log of sequence suggestions I was able to pull the narrative together creating a smoother transitional flow between scenes while heightening the emotional impact. Utilizing only positive and constructive feedback, I will discuss the strengths in your story or script and areas that may require more attention. I will provide you with the tools necessary to get you up and running on that first draft or final draft.
