Writer/Director/Editor/Producer/Composer
I have been teaching myself and learning the trade when it came to filmmaking ever since I was a boy. Writing was always natural for me, but to get into screenwriting, I would constantly find myself reading feature scripts to help myself learn the formatting.
I'm very passionate when it comes to any project I am currently working on. I get obsessed when I work on something, whether it be a commercial for a client or a feature film that I wrote myself. I'm a perfectionist, as I'm sure most of my fellow filmmakers are.
I became an editor strictly because I didn't have anyone who could edit my videos. I learned, believe it or not, through viewing multiple tutorials on YouTube learning as many editing software's as I could get my hands on (Vegas, Adobe Premiere, Avid, ect.) Every cut has to be perfect. Audio has to be synched without any problems or glitches.
Being an independent filmmaker, it's only natural that I would of course fund my own projects. Producing is a necessity when it comes to this industry. Without it, you would basically have nothing. It's that simple.
When I became serious, I realized that I couldn't afford to get a composer for some of my projects, so I went ahead and got Avid Pro Tools and began composing myself. It's one of the best parts, in my opinion, when it comes to post-production. Allowing the music to fill up those cracks within each scene with pure beauty is such a joy to experience. I have much respect for composers, because it's not an easy task to handle.
Filmmaking has always been my passion. I've never thought of another dream that I would rather have than what I am doing now. I love it, and I'll never take it for granted.
