“Caribbean America” is a unique documentary that focuses on a population that has been influential throughout United States History. The documentary will not only focus on English speaking nations but Spanish and French speaking inhabitants as well. For centuries, the United States and the nations of the Caribbean have grown alongside each other as partners in progress. This documentary-series will allow viewers to understand and gain knowledge of the many Caribbean cultures, their humanitarian influences, and contributions to American society and history. Caribbean traditions have enriched our own, and have woven new threads into our cultural fabric. The Caribbean Diaspora, has established and passed on various traditions to first, second, and third born generations in the United States. Again and again, Caribbean immigrants and their descendants have reaffirmed America's promise as a land of opportunity -- a place where no matter whom you are or where you come from, you can make it if you try hard enough.
