I'm a recent college graduate looking for professional experience in film production. I'm open to any work opportunities; I want to learn more about the industry, build connections, and develop expertise.
Last summer, I interned with Inbrook, an international performing arts promotion company based in New York City. There, I was given the opportunity to work directly with CEO Calvin Wynter and his clients as I developed my skills with video production, video editing, and photography.
This spring, I graduated from James Madison University with a B.A. in Media Arts and Design and a concentration in Digital Video and Cinema. I was accepted into the School of Media Arts and Design (www.smad.jmu.edu) through competitive admission, and from that point on the major granted me specialized experience in film production as I collaborated with fellow students on projects that spanned every aspect of the cinematic process. Among my many learning experiences in this major, the most memorable lessons have come through my hands-on work with professional video equipment and editing software (including the use of both Sony and Canon DSLRs, Adobe Creative Suite, and FCP 7 and X).
During my last two semesters in college, I wrote and produced an award-winning twenty minute short film. I also produced and edited two wedding highlight videos, generated multimedia content for JMU's University Program Board, and completed my portfolio with a variety of other freelance video and photography work.
