About Me

Member Since 2013 | Views: 212

I am a documentary filmmaker and journalist who has produced, photographed, edited or mixed programs for West Virginia Public Broadcasting for over 20 years. In 2013 I won a regional Emmy for my work as co-Producer and Director of Photography on "Frank Kearns: American Correspondent."

Since 2003, most of my focus has been on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. I worked solo while producing and shooting "The Last Mission" during an embed with military police in Iraq. The documentary focused on training Iraqi police in the violent Anbar Province. It was distributed nationwide to PBS stations in October 2011 and I received a regional Emmy nomination for it in 2012.

I have produced eight documentaries, photographed more than an dozen, and recorded sound on more than a dozen documentaries and on hundreds of magazine pieces. I know how veritae documentary scenes are shot, mixed and edited to propel the story, which makes me a seasoned asset on any shoot.

During the last several years I have also been working as a freelance crew member on documentaries, reality shows, commercials, and industrials for production companies.

I own a complete field audio package and I have Arri location lighting kits available for rent. My full resume is available on request.

I have been in the industry since 1988.
