Derek Christopher Grote was born in Cincinnati, OH during the Superbowl of 1987 (The Giants winning over The Broncos). An ardent fan of film and music, Derek attended The Recording Workshop Of Ohio in 2005, where he obtained a certificate in audio engineering. Since 2010, he has been composing music for local short films and commercial projects while also performing with his band, New Van Goghs.

I have been in the industry since 2005.
