Douglas Lively has been producing, directing, writing, and working as a cinematographer on award winning films, television commercials, and corporate communications projects in the film and television industry for over 22 years. For the past eighteen years he has served as a Producer/Director/Cinematographer/Writer at Sonalysts Studios; New England’s premier film/television/music production and creative services facility located in Water- ford Connecticut. Here, he initiated and directed creative development in digital media and high definition video formats, supervising all aspects of the production and post production process. His skill set and responsibilities include: creative development and client management, budgeting and scheduling, script writing, storyboarding, finalizing project timelines, selection of cameras and all production related support equipment, all director of pho- tography duties, hiring production crew, and casting and directing all on-camera talent. Douglas supervises all facets of post production including non-linear editing on multiple workstation platforms, selection of 2D and 3D vendors and artists for visual effects work, as well as all audio post production. Once post production is com- pleted, his responsibilities include making sure that quality control standards for all media delivery formats meet professional television broadcast and distribution requirements in all related media platforms including the web and social media. His cinematography has won awards and recognition from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the Directors Guild of America. He has sat on numerous panel discussions centering on mar- ket trends for creative film and video production services.
