I am Christian Hawkins, a gaffer in the Memphis area for over 25 years. I take great pride in the ability to use the equipment and manage a talented crew to make beautiful images. I established Rivercity Grip & Lighting, LLC, a motion picture film & video equipment rental and service company located in Memphis, TN. I continue to work as a well respected gaffer and supply the Mid-South area with Grip Trucks, Grip & Electric Equipment, Film Lighting, and Generators.

I started work at a production company in 1992. I moved to Florida in 1999 and worked as a freelance grip electric. Returning to Memphis in 2001, I have been a freelance gaffer as well as working as a Best Boy and Key grip when necessary. In 2009 I established Rivercity Grip & Lighting, LLC. I have been fortunate to be in a position that offers local crew members work opportunities and to provide equipment and services to the film community.

I know how to listen, decide what it takes, use the equipment, and shape the light to bring a vision to reality. I call it "painting with light". I am a big fan and student of God's work!
