Cinematographer Steven Carmona is a proud Nuyorican from the world of down-and-dirty, run-and-gun New York independent cinema. He's gained extensive experience as a producer, director and DP, creating ways to get things done under the circumstances. His work spans from comedy short films to commercial advertising, with a particular brilliance in narrative films that explore genuine raw human emotion.
As a lifelong student of the art form, Steven continually pushes the boundaries of his craft to authentically depict the human condition. His passion extends beyond creating his own films; he is dedicated to building a community where each member supports and enhances their individual artistic expressions.
Steven owns and operates Green Lung Studio in Brooklyn, New York, with his wife Amanda. The rental studio not only serves productions but also offers programming for film and art education, as well as showcase and exhibition.
His work has been featured on Netflix, HBO, the New York Latino Film Festival, the Phoenix Film Festival, and Fantastic Fest. His latest feature as a cinematographer, "Brutal Season," is now available on Apple+.
