AWARD-WINNING PRODUCER/DIRECTOR with 25 years experience directing, producing, writing and selling episodic television, documentaries, pilots, commercials, news segments, music video and corporate video campaigns.


BIO:
Barrett's always had an ear for music and an eye for what makes a good story. He launched his career touring the country with some of the biggest bands of Boston's storied active rock scene. During his years on the road he captured what now stands as an astounding archive of rare Active Rock performances from Pantera, Kid Rock, Motley Crue, Sevendust and more. He parlayed this experience into Directing, Producing, Writing and Editing a popular weekly music show based out of Boston. He created 257 original episodes that included live performance, interviews and scripted comedic skits.

He went on to direct and produce Sevendust's acclaimed music documentary, "Retrospect" and directed two multi-million dollar live performance DVDs for band, Godsmack: "Godsmack LIVE" and "Smack This!"

It was these experiences that inspired his "Rock Star Marketing" approach to creating branded content. It was with this perspective that he partnered with clients from IBM to iROBOT and SAINT-GOBAIN to UPS to produce compelling video and visuals to engage their audience.

And it was with this perspective that he’s seen 4 start-up clients bought for at least $3.5 million in the last 6 years.

In 2008 he directed “One November Night”, a live performance DVD of internationally renown guitarist, Johnny A. and his three piece ensemble. The DVD was released in 2010 to critical acclaim.

From 2009-2011 he created, directed and produced two seasons of a 44 episode weekly entertainment show, featuring celebrity interviews and entertainment news packages. Track Gals TV aired on CBS afflilate, TV 38.

He produced the Matt Light Celebrity Shoot Out television special from 2007-2009 for broadcast on NESN and COMCAST.

In 2012 he partnered with long-time friend and creative collegue, Actor/Writer, Matty Blake and Directed award-winning dramedy pilot, Partners. A scripted ensemble piece, "Partners" follows the life of a female detective in all-male police force. It stars nationally recognized actors, Jimmy Dunn, R.J. Kelly and Betsy Beutler.

Partners has won several awards for its production and cast, including at 2015 Telly People’s Choice Award.

He just wrapped post-production on doc-style reality pilot, Playing Rock Star. The show follows a professional dummer as he joins a bonafide rock band for one show only.

He's currently working on several scripted pilot programs.
