David is an award-winning cinematographer who works on a range of narrative, documentary and commercial projects. Most recently, he shot the narrative feature APACHE LEAP which is the first feature film to have a primarily Apache cast and crew. He also shot and produced an award-winning feature documentary, KIM SWIMS, that is now available on Netflix and other major streaming platforms. He has shot numerous other films.
David's interest in documentary storytelling has allowed him to shoot across the globe, most recently in Ethiopia and China. He has shot for news outlets including ABC News, BBC, Al Jazeera and The Washington Post. He has also lensed projects for companies such as Nintendo and many other major brands.
Originally a New Yorker, he began making movies in his backyard before studying at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. He then earned a Masters degree in Government and spent the next several years budgeting billions for the White House and managing massive technology projects for the City of New York. He eventually made his way back to his true passion of visual storytelling, and is grateful for the opportunity to tell diverse stories through his images.
