As a child, Ryan loved movies and grew up constantly creating scenes and storylines in his head. He spent entirely too much time one summer plotting out an action sequence with a skyscraper built out of Construx…years before ever holding a camera. Lewis finally convinced his parents to buy him an 8mm video camera while in high school and he never looked back.
Between his film and television credits and his commercial work for nationally recognized brands, Lewis is passionate about creating powerful images that serve a director’s vision. His work has been mentioned in Time, Entertainment Weekly, The Onion, The Guardian and Film Threat. When not on set, Lewis loves board games and playing rec league hockey…but he’s much more skilled as a cinematographer than he is at either of those hobbies.
Ryan is a Camera Operator in IATSE Local 600 and an Active Member of the Society of Camera Operators.
I have been in the industry since 2003.
