My name is Kirk Manton. I am an experienced commercial video key grip & gaffer. My wife and I are moving to the Akron/Cleveland area to live closer to family.

For over 30 years I have worked full-time staff positions for various live event and video production enterprises, all the while freelancing on the side for commercial video production companies.

I find the short commercial shoots to be the best part of the film business. I have worked on feature-length film projects and short films but still prefer fast-paced short-duration video productions. I love problem-solving on the fly and helping the team get the job done with the time and resources available. I don't complain and support a positive attitude on every set. I know I serve the production leadership who higher me and encourage everyone I work with to do the same!

When it is appropriate and desired, I enjoy mentoring younger crew members and have taught Intro to Film Crew classes in the past.

I looking for an opportunity to get to know the film community in the Akron/Cleveland area and to explore the possibility of connecting with some future freelance clients, ones that are a good match for my skills, experience, work ethic, and personality.
