Producer/Director, Lighting Camera Operator, and Drone Pilot working across factual TV, creative documentary, and branded content.

I have a full range of camera equipment, lenses, lighting and grip to suit a range of different filming scenarios, as well as a mobile edit suite running Adobe Creative Suite (cutting on Premiere Pro) and DaVinci Resolve that can be brought on location if needed. I am also a fully licensed drone pilot, with Operational Authorisation from the CAA, flying an Inspire 2 with a range of lenses, and a DJI Mini 4.

I can provide equipment or hire-in according to the needs of the production, and bring in crew if needed from a pool of talented freelancers that I work with regularly.

Recent work includes shooting a branded content spot for Sky Arts; producing, directing and editing a series of fundraising films for the MS Society; directing a VT for BBC Scotland’s A View From The Terrace; shooting aerials for a series of films for the Edinburgh College of Art; and directing a documentary short, Racing Stock, which was selected for the Scottish Documentary Institute’s Bridging The Gap scheme for emerging directors and commissioned by Screen Scotland, premiering at Glasgow Film Festival.

I have produced and directed a number of branded content commercials for organisations including National Railway Museum, Transport Scotland, Glen’s Vodka, and London School of Economics, working with agencies including Leith, The Union and Consider Creative.

I have also shot and directed films for a number of charities, including Oxfam, Inspiring Scotland, YMCA Kirkcaldy, MS Society, Bloodwise, and Bowel Cancer UK.

I am equally comfortable self-shooting or working with a crew. I also have experience filming with vulnerable subjects where building trust and working alone or with a small crew is preferable. For bigger jobs, where needed, I can call on an extensive network of freelancers, from HMAs and costume designers to B-cam operators and production assistants.

I am based in Edinburgh, Scotland, have my own transport and a clean driving licence, and am available for work across the UK and worldwide.
